Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo, the Member of Parliament for the Karonga Central constituency, thanked the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for allocating funds to the Roads Authority to speed up the rehabilitation of the Karonga–Chiweta road so that work can begin.

Mwenifumbo made these remarks in parliament while the lawmakers were in the middle of their deliberations.

Mwenifumbo also thanked the administration of the country’s President Professor Peter Muthalika, for fulfilling what he promised the people that once he took over the government, he would rehabilitate the Karonga–Chiweta road.
