MRA Corporate Affairs Manager Wilma Chalulu made the call during a training workshop in Mzuzu on new tax measures.
Chalulu emphasized that the newly introduced tax collection methods require extensive public education to help citizens understand them.
She added that many tax issues are difficult to comprehend, which is why the authority has partnered with journalists to effectively reach the public.
In the first quarter of tax collection running from April to June, the MRA collected 1,398,481.11 trillion Malawi kwacha against a projected target of 1,378,805.44 trillion Malawi kwacha, surpassing the target by 20 billion Malawi kwacha.
