Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo, President of the National Development Party (NDP), will attend the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) mega rally this afternoon at Katoto Ground in Mzuzu.

Mwenifumbo also joined the stopover meeting held in Karonga town by DPP’s running mate, Dr. Jane Ansah.

Speaking in a phone interview, Mwenifumbo confirmed that the NDP remains in alliance with the DPP, stressing that his presence at the rally is important.

“The National Development Party (NDP) is still in alliance with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP),” he said.

This development comes just days before Malawians head to the polls for the tripartite elections scheduled for September 16.
