Head village headmen under Principal Group Village Headman Katolola in the Kaluma South area have been urged to start clearing and maintaining roads in their respective villages.
These remarks were made by representative of Group Village Headman Mwaleba, Kenani Mwandwanga, during a community road-clearing exercise in his area.
Mwandwanga said they decided to begin clearing the village roads to reduce transport and travel challenges, which traditionally worsen during the rainy season.
Also commended the area’s Councilor, Bilton Mwalweni for his humility and for physically joining the community to work on the project.
In his remarks, Councilor Bilton Mwalweni highly praised all the local leaders—including Mwaleba, Mwambuli, Mwamalopa, and Mwahoboke for cooperating with him and taking the initiative to clear their village roads.
Mwalweni also commended the strong unity between himself and these traditional leaders, which he believes is essential for developing and transforming the area.
