Chitonya Donates Motorcycles to Traditional Leaders.

A Member of Parliament for Karonga Town Constituency, Daniel Mwanyongo Chitonya, has donated motorcycles to three traditional leaders of Mweniyumba, Mwahimba Mwakifwamba, and Katolola.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Chitonya said the donation is part of fulfillment to the promise he made during the campaign in 2025 general elections, saying will help them to reduce transport mobility whenever monitoring developmental projects within their areas.

” It was necessary for the chiefs under my constituency to have reliable transport to avoid hardships when carrying out their duties mainly monitoring developments taking place in my constituency”

Chitonya however urged the traditional leaders to collaborate with all leaders in the constituency to foster development.

In his remarks GVH Mweniyumba thanks the honorable for fulfilling his promise which he said most don’t happen.

He however cautioned his fellow chiefs not to sell the motorcycles as it derails development activities.
