Mwalweni said this during a visit to St Mary’s Boys primary School.

He said St Mary’s Boys primary school is significantly lagging in terms of development like classrooms are very old and insufficient, which forces some students to learn while sitting on the floor.

Mwalweni added that there are no proper houses for teachers at the school which lack of accommodation prevents teachers from living on site the school.

Mwalweni urged his fellow community members and school committees to work together to ensure development reaches the school,on his visit he gave the school the sum of 150,000 which he promised to provide once he is re-elected as Ward Councilor.

The Chairperson of the school’s PTA committee, John Mwalilino confirmed the challenges facing the school and thanked Councilor Biton Mwalweni for taking the time to visit.

Speaking on behalf of Traditional Authority Mwambetania, Mr. Lughano Kishombe said the Councilor’s visit gives them the strength to ensure that developmental projects at the school proceed smoothly.

He also called for total cooperation among the school’s leadership, emphasizing that unity is essential for the school’s infrastructure to be improved.
